Our Adoption Process |
Adoption Fees |
Adopting a new friend at the Elk County Humane Society is really very simple. All you have to do is fill out our adoption application for the cat or dog you are interested in. This can be done right at the shelter or by clicking the "submit an online application" button below! The application contains some questions to help us get to know you better. We do require any dog or cat that you currently own be updated on their rabies vaccine, so please be prepared to show us their rabies certificate(s). If you already own a dog, and the application is approved, we'll schedule a "meet and greet" with your current dog and the shelter dog to ensure everyone gets along. If the dogs are compatible, then we'll move forward and start the official adoption paperwork!
