Upcoming Events and Fundraisers

The Elk County Humane Society is committed not only to the safety of its furry residents but also its staff, volunteers, and visitors.  Due to the
COVID-19 pandemic, we ask that all visitors wear a mask and, if possible, call ahead of your visit to schedule an appointment so we can enforce social distancing within our building.

If you have any questions, please call the shelter at (814) 834-3247.

Beginner's Dog Training Classes: Are you looking to strengthen your bond with our beloved pup or maybe learn a new trick or two? Now's your chance! Sign ups for beginner's dog training classes hosted by Doreen Nelson are open now. Classes will be held at the St. Marys Tractor Supply Co. on the Million Dollar Hwy with orientation on October 26th at 5:00 pm after which classes will continue every Tuesday for 7 weeks. $90.00 per dog.

Please call the shelter at (814) 834-3247 with any questions or to sign up. Time is limited so don't wait!

2021 Subaru Partnership:  The Elk County Humane Society is once again teaming up for an exciting partnership with Spitzer Subaru. They will donate $100 to the shelter for every animal adopted during the month of October! All we need to do is take a photo of the newly adopted pet with their forever family before they head home to count towards the program. Both dog and cat adoptions are eligible, so if you were considering finding a new best friend now is the time to do it!

As this program was such an astounding success last year, we are beyond thrilled to be able to take part in it yet again this year. We can't wait to see what the rest of this month will bring!

Even if you aren't able to adopt, you can still help. Share this post with your friends and spread the word. Let's do this!
